U.S. military veterans like myself can now go online at myhealthevet and see the results of their blood tests. While checking mine I saw that I tested positive twice in November for MRSA but nobody at the V.A. thought I should know or get any treatment for it. When I called in to my V.A. doctor asking if this was the type of superbug that just went away by itself (of course not) and shouldn't I get treated for it, my V.A. doctor declined to treat me for MRSA because I wasn't showing her any symptoms over the phone.
