In 1961,
rationalist Ayn Rand,
author,
philosopher,
champion of
unemotional, rational
thinking . . .
and a sturdy,
formidable-looking
battleaxe
(I'd hate to go up against her
in a bar fight),
gave a TV interview
where she declared that
the worst practitioners
of modern irrationalism
(she called it witch doctorism)
were TV evangelists?
No.
Limp-wristed
left wing
No.
Duplicitous congressmen?
No.
Ayn Rand said
that the leaders of
twentieth century
voodoo thinking
were...
wait for it
wait for it....
scientists.
YES!
