Don "Wild, Wild West" just showed up outside at the Benched Player benches a few minutes ago wearing his handerchief over his skin head like a pirate, as usual. They allow him on the property on Anger Management Class night (Wednesday) and that night ONLY. He read a copy of my "Meeting Another Copper Miner At The Benches" story and informed me that copper mining is the lowest form of industrial stealing.
"No matter what you steal, James, copper or cars, you only get 10 cents on the dollar. No matter what. You gotta steal A LOT of copper to make a living. Industrial parts, that was my profession. I stole whole sections of buildings, bud. That's where the money's at."
"Aye, matey," I said, "I'll be remembering that advice next time I set sail to go plunderin' and robbing and piratin' and such!"
Don's really a good guy, even being an ex Blackbeard and all. He's always good for a few laughs and lots of information on the correct, tried and true methods of criminal enterprise.
Ahyup, it's a regular pirate's cove we've got here at L.A. Vets. But times have changed. In the old days they hung pirates. Now they send them to Anger Management classes.
