You won't be getting emails from me for a week or two or three. They're remodelling the vets dorm computer center, putting me out of pocket for a while unless I drive to downtown Los Angeles and sign up with another homeless organization called "Chrysalis".
My new upper bunkmate Mike, the one who replaced Bobby The Crackhead, told me he has Hepatitis C from all the drug needles he stuck into his arm in Albuquerque. He was in a vets' dorm in that town until government auditors finally shut the place down because the staff was embezzling way above the generally acceptable rate.
I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't happen here, too. It's just way too easy to steal from homeless veterans.
