Monday I was called downtown to help stop a riot at One Bunker Hill, a law office. Teamsters and anti-teamsters were picketing the building's parking garage. My new employer, Sluggo Security, hired me as a Rover, which means I only work when there's a job that none of their fulltime flunkies will do. I had to drive through the picket line to park inside so I could come back out and help disperse the picketers. If you know how expensive parking is in downtown L.A., you know I had no choice. I HAD to drive through the 30 or so picketers. I can't afford street parking.
I did such a good job that the picketers didn't come back Tuesday so now I'm out of work again. Damned pansy-assed teamsters.
